Wyvetta Craun Wells, 89, known to friends and family as Vettie, passed away Tuesday, October 27, 2009. She was born in Orange, Va. and grew up in the Roanoke area. She returned to Orange as a young woman where she met her husband of 69 years, Robert William Wells. She filled her life with neighbors, friends and reading. Her keen mind and love of books fueled her adventurous heart. She and Bob traveled to many faraway places together. Her job was to provide a home anywhere, frequently with very little. His job was to complete a construction project. They loved the adventure but she loved to return to her home and garden in Virginia Beach. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
