After the most difficult months fighting to survive, our loving and caring William Kyle, better known as Uncle Bill, husband of the late Mary Jane Kyle and a resident of Exmore, VA, passed away Thursday, January 26, 2021, early in the morning. He had been diagnosed with cancer that had spread too quickly, but he kept fighting. A native of Rising Sun, MD, and raised in Colowingo, MD, he was the son of the late William E. Kyle and the late Myrtle Magnolia Kyle. He was employed a carpenter by Spencer Manufacturing Company in Oxford, PA, for 22 years, was a Baptist, loved fishing, squirrels (fuzzy tails), the mountains, bubble gum, cookies and his babies.
He is survived by a niece, Mary Jane King; niece-in-law, Angel Spady; two great nephews, William Edward “Billy” Thompson, Jr., and his fiancé, Harley and Roy Dean Thompson; a great-great niece, Ashlyn Thompson; numerous other nieces and nephews; and a great-niece, Malinda Spady. He was predeceased by two sisters, Mary Reva Kyle and Ruby Alexander.
Angel, Billy and Harley cared for Uncle Bill, whom no matter, couldn't have loved him more. They each held his hand this morning to the end of his journey. He will be missed by many this summer as he loved sitting outside under the shade trees while watching the kids play. His smile and memory will stay in all our hearts forever. Go rest high on that mountain Uncle Bill. Your work here is done.
To honor his wishes, no public service will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, Post Office Box 163, Salisbury, MD 21803-0163.
