Mr. William Kenneth Wilson, Sr., 95, husband of Myrtle Hammell Wilson and a resident of Cheriton passed away Saturday November 5, 2005 at Shore Memorial Hospital in Nassawadox. A native of Cheriton, he was the son of the late J. Casey Wilson and the late Carrie Beauchamp Wilson. He had retired from Penn Central Railroad and was a member of Cheriton United Methodist Church, where he had served as secretary of his Sunday School class for thirty-two years. He was a member of the Capeville Masonic Lodge # 107 AF&AM, Portsmouth Scottish Rite Bodies, Eastern Shore Royal Arch Chapter #12 and Chespeake Commandery #28. Other than his wife, he is survived by two children, Carole Wilson Hampton of High Point, N.C., and W. Kenneth Wilson and his wife Nancy of Virginia Beach, Virginia, three grandchildren, Michael Wilson of Richmond, Va., Leigh Ann Laneve of Lynchburg, Va. and John D. Hampton of High Point, N.C. and five great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Monday November 7, 2005 at 2:00 PM from the graveside of the Cape Charles Cemetery with Masonic Rites.
