William F. Wilkins, Jr.

February 6, 1916 — May 4, 2007

Mr. William Franklin Wilkins, Jr., 91, husband of the late Jennette Baker Wilkins and a resident of the Masonic Home of Virginia, formerly of Cape Charles, passed away Friday, May 4, 2007 at Memorial Regional Medical Center. A native of Cape Charles, he was the son of the late William F. Wilkins, Sr. and the late Mary Keesey Wilkins. Mr. Wilkins retired from Penn Central Railroad. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Cape Charles, Past Master and sixty year member of Capeville Masonic Lodge #107 AF & AM, served for twenty-five years as officer of elections for Town of Cape Charles and became Chief Officer of Election in 1995. Mr. Wilkins was an avid golfer and member of the former Northampton Country Club. He is survived by two daughters, Linda Wilkins Parks and her husband, Rick, of Midlothian, Va., and Ann Wilkins Mason of Richmond, Va.; two brothers, John K. Wilkins of Chapel Hill, N.C., and George J. Wilkins of Salisbury, Md.; two grandchildren, Todd Parks and his wife, Janel, and Michael Parks and his wife, Julie, of Midlothian, Va.; four great grandchildren, Amanda, Nicholas, Elijah and Emma Parks, all of Midlothian., and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Daniel E. Wilkins. Funeral services will be conducted from the graveside of Cape Charles Cemetery Tuesday, May 8, 2007 at 1:00 PM with the Rev. Stuart C. Saul and the Rev. Ernest L. Gardner, III officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the Masonic Home of Virginia, 4101 Nine Mile Road, Richmond, Va. 23223.
