William E. "Eddie" Thompson, Sr., 48, departed this earthly world for a glorious life in the early hours of Wednesday, November 7, 2012 at his home in Exmore, Virginia. A native of Maryland, he was the son of the late William Keatly Thompson and the late Mary Reva Kyle. At an early age he was gifted with the talent to repair and rebuild engines and later became self-employed in auto body work. He continued his career with great joy until an accident caused the loss of his eye and he could no longer do the work he loved. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to all who needed him. Eddie, as he was affectionately called by his family and friends, leaves to cherish his memories his loving companion, Angela "Angel" Spady; two sons, Roy Dean Thompson of Cape Charles, Virginia, William Edward Thompson, Jr. of Exmore; a step-daughter, Malinda Morgan and her husband, Josh, of Manchester, Ohio; a sister, Mary Jane King of Valdosta, Georgia; two step-grandchildren, Andrew and Zaydin Morgan of Manchester; a special uncle and friend, William "Bill" Kyle; a very caring nephew, Jerry Reese, of Exmore; and numerous nephews and a niece. He was preceded in death by a brother, Roy Thompson, and a nephew, Timothy Williams. To honor his request, a celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
