William Tatum

William R. Tatum, 98, husband of the late Emma Lena Chandler Tatum and a resident of Keller, VA, passed away Tuesday, February 27, 2024, at Shore Health and Rehabilitation Center in Parksley, VA. He was the son of the late Ray Tatum and the late Elizabeth Merritt Tatum. He was a United States Army Veteran having received a World War Victory Medal and an Army of Occupation Medal, was an electrician for several years after completing the Industrial Electronics Apprentice Program, worked at Dulany Foods and Dize TV, and retired from Eastern Shore Community College and Hermitage on the Eastern Shore

He is survived by his son, Paul B. Tatum of Keller.

A celebration of life service will be conducted Sunday, March 3, 2024, at 2:00PM at Doughty Funeral Home with Jolynn Hart Hollis officiating. Family will join friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will be in Wachapreague Cemetery at a later date.
