William Lincoln Scudder

William Lincoln Scudder, 88, husband of June S. Scudder and a resident of Belle Haven, VA, passed away Saturday, September 3, 2011 at Heritage Hall Healthcare in Nassawadox, VA. A native of Huntington, Long Island, New York. He was the son of the late William Scudder and the late Harriett Kruger Scudder. He was a U. S. Marine veteran, having received the Bronze Star for serving in the Asia-Pacific Theatre on the islands of Saipan, Iwo Jima and Mariana. In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Mary Ellen Rubin and her husband, Joseph of Winston-Salem, NC; two grandsons, Christopher Rubin and Robert Rubin, also of Winston-Salem. A private graveside service will be held in Belle Haven Cemetery at a later date.
