William John Reese

William John Reese, 61, husband of Tammy D. Reese and a resident of Painter, VA, passed away Friday, February 3, 2012 at Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital in Nassawadox, VA. A native of Camp Hill, PA, he was the son of the late Edward William Reese and the late Louise Kershenstein Reese. He was a Respiratory and Pulmonary Function Therapist. He attended Exmore Baptist Church and served as a minister for the Accomack County jail. He led an active lifestyle that included karate, surfing, kite boarding, and running. He played numerous musical instruments and was passionate about the care and ethical treatment of animals. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two stepdaughters, Brittany and Bethany Delosier of Painter; a brother, Robert E. Reese of Camp Hill; two sisters-in-law, Carla Rouelle of Franktown, VA, Terry Goswellen of Fredericksburg, VA; a brother-in-law, Raymond D. Dueser of Machipongo; two nieces, Andrea Dueser Thompson of Montrose, CO, Joanne Louise Dueser of Logan, UT. He was predeceased by a sister, Joan Reese Dueser. A funeral service will be conducted Monday, February 6, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Exmore Baptist Church with Pastor Jonathan Carpenter and Rev. Clarence Bowen officiating. Interment will follow in the Cape Charles Cemetery. Family will join friends at the Doughty Funeral Home Sunday evening from 7:00 to 8:30.
