William Mitchell

William Edward Mitchell, 61, of Onancock, VA, passed away Tuesday, November 4, 2014 at his residence. A native of Birdsnest, VA, he was the son of the late Edward Lee Mitchell and the late Patricia Gladden Callahan. He was a member of Guilford United Methodist Church, enjoyed visiting with family and friends, traveling and going to church. He is survived by a sister, Vickie Callahan Catlett of Clinton, OK; two nieces, Monica Austin and her husband, Billy, of Lawton, OK, Kari Smith and her husband, Kas, of Yukon, OK; a great nephew, Jace Weaver of Lawton; two great nieces, Maci Weaver of Lawton, Violet Austin of Lawton; and numerous cousins and friends. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, November 9, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Doughty Funeral Home with Reverends Veronica Barrell and George Fulk officiating. Interment will follow in Red Bank Baptist Church Cemetery. Family will join friends at the funeral home Saturday evening from 6:30 to 8:00. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Guilford United Methodist Church, 25460 Shoremain Drive, Bloxom, VA 23308.
