Mr. William Norman Jenkins, 81, husband of the late Johnye Lewis Jenkins and a resident of Painter, passed away Sunday, September 9, 2007 at Leigh Memorial Hospital in Norfolk, Va. He was a native of Wilmington, De. He was a member of Painter Garrison's United Methodist Church and an avid baseball fan. He is survived by a son, Ralph Thomas Hopkins and his wife Sarah of Salisbury, Md., six grandchildren, Aprille Johnye Elmore and her husband Paul of Virginia Beach,Va., Wendy Lay and her husband Jim of Spotsylvania, Va., Chuck Hopkins and his wife Crystal of Spotsylvania, Keith Bounds and his wife Tammy Sue of Salisbury, Dwayne Bounds and his wife Linda of Salisbury, Tammy Ennis and her husband Richard of Salisbury; eight great grandchildren, Erin Jones, Brittany Elmore, Jerry Elmore, Michael Lay, Kris Bounds, Melissa Bounds, Ryan Ennis and Reagan Ennis. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, Sept 12th at 11:00 am from the Doughty Funeral Home with the Rev. Michael W. Harrington officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Haven Cemetery. Family will join friends at the Doughty Funeral Home one hour prior to the service.
