William Caddy Bevans, 72, passed away peacefully on May 27, 2021 after a brief illness. He was born on July 1, 1948, in Quincy, Massachusetts, the son of Wilbur C. Bevans and Beatrice M. (Caddy) Bevans.
Bill enjoyed gardening, fishing, taking long walks, barbecuing, history and was an avid Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots fan and an animal lover. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Bill was named after his uncle, William Caddy, who was awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor for his service at Iwo Jima. He was a graduate of North Quincy High School, Class of 1966 and Curry College, Class of 1981. He was employed at Wire Belt Company in Londonderry, NH until his retirement in 2018.
Bill is survived by his wife of 40 years, Patricia Bevans, his sons, Christopher and Thomas MacPherson and his step-children, Edward and Melissa Myers, his sisters, Marcia G. Morse and Sherrill A. Holleran, grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Thomas C. Bevans and his sister, Susan B. Bevans.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
