Walter A. Turner, Jr.

Walter A. Turner, Jr., 64, husband of Maretta Farlow Turner and a resident of Melfa, VA, passed away Saturday, November 18, 2017, at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury, MD. A native of Quinby, VA, he was the son of the late Walter A. Turner, Sr. and the late Jean Sturgis Turner Farlow. He was a supervisor for Perdue Foods.

In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by two sons, Eric Turner of Southport, NC, and Craig Walter Turner of Melfa; a brother, Michael Turner and his wife, Liz, of Onley, VA; two sisters, Beth Hasty and her husband, Donnie, of Wattsville, VA, and Linda Bornman and her husband, Jeffrey, of Felton, DE; five grandchildren, Kayla Thornes, Hannah Davis, Hailey Turner, Mya Turner, and Anna Grace Turner; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Donna J. Turner Ippoliti.

To honor his request no public service will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to S.P.C.A. Animal Shelter, P. O. Box 164, Onley, VA 23418.
