Walter M. Lewis, III

Walter Merrill Lewis, III, better known as Butch, 43, a resident of Townsend, VA, passed away Wednesday, October 8, 2014, at Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital. A native of Cape Charles, VA, he was the son of Helen Reed Wilson of Townsend and the late Walter M. Lewis, Jr. He was former employee of Northampton Growers, Inc. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his fiancé, Shanda Stiles; two children, Adam Bruce Lewis of Melfa, VA, Andrew Walter Lewis of Nassawadox, VA; two sisters, Ann Marie Lewis and her husband, Robert, of Lancaster, PA, Angela Bennett and her companion, William, of Covington, GA; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. A graveside service will be conducted Sunday, October 12, 2014, at 2:00 PM at Cape Charles Cemetery with Rev. Janet C. Allen officiating. Family will join friends at the Wilkins-Doughty Funeral Home Saturday evening from 7:00 to 8:30.
