Walter James Kaczorowski, 91, husband of Mary Moore Kaczorowski and a resident of Willis Wharf, Virginia passed away Friday, July 2, 2010 at Heritage Hall Health Care in Nassawadox. A native of Long Island, NY, he was the son of the late Joseph and Helen Kaczorowski. He was retired from Southwestern General Life Insurance Company. He was a United States Navy Veteran having served in WWII. He attended Exmore Baptist Church and was a member of the Eastern Shore Yacht and Country Club, Broadwater Masonic Lodge #71 AF&AM, and Exmore Moose Lodge #683. Other than his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Gail Ewing and her husband Daniel of Jamesville, Va., Lynn P. Wood and her husband Johnny of Mosley, Va; a brother, Charles Kaczorowski of West Palm Beach, Fla.; a sister-in-law, Florence Lawson of Willis Wharf, Va., eight grandchildren, Todd Brady and his wife Cary of Richmond, Va., Andrea Doughty and her husband Kevin of Belle Haven, Va., Ashley King and her husband Erik of Richmond, Va., Jamie Partin of New Orleans, La., Laura Harkin and her husband Gregg of Hertford, N.C., Catina Byrum and her husband Jimmy of Tyner, N.C., Susan Athey and her husband Joey of Beckley, W.V. and Kelli Gregory and her husband Neno of Scarboro W.V.; eight great grandchildren, Tanner B. Doughty of Belle Haven, Va., Barron King of Richmond, Va., Luke and Faith Byrum of Tyner, N.C., Josie and Madison Athey of W.V., Samantha and Logan Gregory of W.V. Funeral services will be held Monday, July 5, 2010 at 2:30 p.m. from the Doughty Funeral Home in Exmore with Pastor Jonathan Carpenter and Mr. Kemmie Dize officiating. Interment will follow in the Belle Haven Cemetery. Family will join friends at the Doughty Funeral Home one hour prior to the service.
