Walter Joseph Budd

Walter Joseph Budd, 92, husband of Clare Bonniwell Budd and a resident of Hacks Neck, VA, passed away Thursday, November 21, 2019, at Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital in Onancock, VA. A native of Hacks Neck, he was the son of the late Charles I. Budd and the late Anna Bennett Budd. He was a retired farmer and raised Methodist.

In addition to his loving wife of 68 years, he is survived by his daughter, Ruth L. Budd and her husband, Edgar Varela, of Farmville, VA; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, November 24, 2019, at 2:00 PM at Doughty Funeral Home with Reverend Bobby Parks officiating. Interment will follow in St. George’s Episcopal Church Cemetery, Pungoteague, VA. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Painter Volunteer Fire Company, Post Office Box 275, Painter, VA 23420.
