Walt McHan

Walter Ross McHan, Sr., 52, a resident of Exmore, VA, passed away Thursday, September 9, 2021, at his home. A native of the Eastern Shore, VA, he was the son of the late Patricia Starr McHan. Walt was a mentor for Therapeutic Interventions, Inc. and enjoyed being with his children, fishing, shooting, boating, football and baseball.  He was a die-hard Dallas Cowboys and New York Yankees fan.

He is survived by his children, Walter McHan, Jr. of Eastville, VA, Colin McHan and Caleb McHan both of Exmore; granddaughter, who called him “Gamps”, Hayden Scott McHan; the mothers of his children, Theresa McHan and Amy Manelski; and a group of friends that were family. Walt was preceded in death by his son, Anthony Scott McHan.

A celebration of life service will be conducted, Sunday, September 12, 2021, at 3:00PM at the Exmore Baptist Church Outreach Center with Pastor Jonathan Carpenter officiating.  In lieu of flowers, donations to help with funeral expenses may be made to Doughty Funeral Home, Post Office Box 633, Exmore Virginia, 23350 or call 757-442-6362.
