Vyvienne "Mac" Bennett Jr.

June 21, 1922 — August 31, 2006

Mr. Vyvienne McCurdy "Mac" Bennett Jr., 84, of Capeville, Virginia passed away Thursday, August 31, 2006 at Shore Memorial Hospital in Nassawadox. A native of Cape Charles he was the son of the late V. M. Bennett Sr. and the late Lydia Heck Bennett. Mr. Bennett was a retired purchasing agent for K.M.C. Foods in Cheriton and was a member of Cape Charles Presbyterian Church, Capeville Masonic Lodge #107 AF&AM, Past District Deputy of the Thirteenth Masonic District, Past High Priest and Secretary of Eastern Shore Royal Arch Chapter #12, Past District Deputy Grand High Priest #20, Past Commander and Secretary of Chesapeake Commandery #28, Past District Deputy Grand Commander District #9, Knights of Priory #2, and Hartley Carmichael #3 A.M.D., Rose of Sharon Priory Chapter #2 K.Y.C.H., Past District Instructor of Work for District #20 P.R.A. Chapter of Virginia, and recipient of the John Dove Medal of Honor of the Grand Royal Arch Chapter of Virginia. Mr. Bennett is survived by three sons, Claude M. Bennett of Danielson, Conn., Walt C. Bennett of Cape Charles, Va., Keith W. Bennett of Danielson, Conn, and a companion, Jeanette Doughty of Cheriton, Va. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, September 4th at 1:00 pm from the graveside of Capeville Masonic Cemetery with Masonic Rites. The Rev. Nathan Decker will officiate. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Eastern Shore, P.O. Box 316, Parksley, Va 23421.
