Victoria C. Elsner Rudy

Victoria C. Elsner Rudy, 101, wife of the late Martin Elsner and the late Harry Rudy and a resident of Cheriton, VA, passed away Friday, November 6, 2009, at her residence. A native of Northampton County, she was the daughter of the late Origin T. and Victoria Belda Charnock. Mrs. Rudy retired from Meatland Stores and she and her sister operated a pastry shop in Cape Charles for many years. She was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church. She is survived by a daughter, Paige E. Bradford of Cheriton; a sister, Cecelia Malarkey of Williamsburg, VA; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by two sisters, Verleader Elsner and Catherine Prentis. A Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, Nov. 10th at 11:00 AM at St. Charles Catholic Church in Cape Charles with Father J. Michael Breslin officiating. Interment will follow in the Cape Charles Cemetery. A Christian wake service will be held Monday at 7:00 PM at St. Charles Catholic Church.
