Vann Leigh Witcher, 63, of Accord, New York and Cape Charles, Virginia, died in Cape Charles on Monday, January 7, 2008. Vann was born in Mission, Texas on April 29, 1944. He was the son of Pamela Rankin-Smith Witcher and the late George Wallace Witcher. Vann was an enthusiast of oriental arts and chinese medicine and healing. He was self employed real estate investor, artist, sculptor and naturalist. His interest included fishing, bird watching, nature photography and cooking. He is survived by his beloved wife, Egle Soave Witcher. They were married in St. Patrick's Cathedral in New York City on June 20, 1970. He was the father of Vanessa and Benjamin Leigh Witcher of Stone Ridge, N.Y. and Nicolette Witcher of New York City; three sisters, Lynn Walker, Andy Green, Dell White and a brother,Wally Witcher, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a step mother Laurie Witcher and a brother, Mobo Witcher. The funeral procession will form at the A. Carr & Son Funeral Home, Inc., 65 Lucas Ave. on Saturday, January 12, 2008 at 9:15 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. from the St. Josephs Church.
