Valerie Carol Elliott

Valerie Carol Elliott, 49, wife of John Stanley Elliott, Jr. and a resident of Birdsnest, VA, passed away Friday, April 12, 2019, at her residence. A native of Cape Charles, VA, she was the daughter of the late Elton Thornes and the late Lottie Trader Bullard.

In addition to her loving husband, she is survived by two children, Chelsea Thornes of Birdsnest, and Heather Guagenti of Birdsnest; four step children, John S. Elliott III and his wife, Tricia, of Exmore, VA, Christopher Elliott and his wife, Claudette, of Salisbury, MD, Elizabeth Charnock and her husband, Raymond, of Tangier, VA, and Derrick Elliott of Eastville, VA; six brothers and sisters, Keith Thornes and his wife, Chantel, of Onley, VA, Pam Childress of Exmore, Sandra Richardson and her husband, Troy, of Nassawadox, VA, Elton Quinn Thornes and his wife, Georgie, of Keller, VA, Betty Jones and her husband, Bo, of Melfa, VA, and Herbert Thornes and his wife, Faye, of Hopeton, VA; one grandson; and six step grandchildren. She was predeceased by a step son, Bryan Keith Elliott.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, April 16, 2019, at 2:00 PM at Full Gospel Church with Reverend Randy Lewis officiating. Interment will follow in Cape Charles Cemetery. Family will join friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
