Thomas Wilhelm Plaschke, 82, husband of Elaine Lucey Plaschke and a resident of Silver Beach, VA, passed away Monday, September 27, 2021, at The Citadel at Nassawadox in Nassawadox, VA. A native of Point Pleasant, NJ, he was the son of the late William Plaschke and the late Ruby Sembler Plaschke. He was a retired truck driver, a member of Exmore Moose Lodge #683, Elks Lodge #1766, an avid fisherman, crabber, and enjoyed playing pool and gardening.
In addition to his loving wife of 49 years, he is survived by four children, Michael Plaschke of Bricktown, NJ, Robert John Plaschke of Bricktown, Jolaine Calderella of Point Pleasant, and Joseph John Auriemma of Hudson, OH; two sisters, Mary Hubit of Arkansas, and Claire Gruhler of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; nine grandchildren, Kalyn Liboro, Justina Chirelli, Robby Plaschke, Joey Plaschke, William P. McCormack, Matthew James McCormack, Alyson Auriemma, Jordan Auriemma, and Enzo Auriemma; three great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister, Nancy Boddy, and brother, Vernon Emmons.
A celebration of life service will be conducted at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Wildlife rehabilitation and education for The Eastern Shore of VA, PO Box 145, Jamesville, VA 23398 or a favorite charity of one’s choice.
