Thomas Hayward

Thomas Hayward, 92, husband of Nell Nadine Hayward and a resident of Jamesville, VA, passed away Monday, November 4, 2013 at his residence. A native of Baltimore, MD, he was the son of the late Frank Hayward and the late Juliette Blackwell Hayward. He was a retired H.M. Chief for the United States Navy and was retired from the Virginia Employment Commission. He was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church and Berkley Masonic Lodge #0167, Chesapeake, VA. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Richard Thomas Hayward of Asheville, NC, James Michael Hayward of Denver, CO; a special daughter in law, Donna Harvie and her husband, Allan, of Williamsburg, VA; two granddaughters, Jennifer Lee Redd and her husband, Scott, of McLean, VA, Michelle Lee Midnight and her husband, Matthew, of Williamsburg; four great granddaughters, Naomi, Mary, Charlotte and Catherine. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, November 8, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Doughty Funeral Home with Reverend Judith Worthington officiating. Interment will follow at a later date in Arlington National Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Bethel United Methodist Church, c/o Bettie Nuckols, P.O.
