Thelma N. Bradford

Thelma Louise Nordstrom Bradford, 93, wife of the late Sidney Hyle Bradford and a resident of Virginia Beach, passed away Saturday, April 14, 2007 at Bayside Health Care Center. A native of Eastville, she was the daughter of the late Charles Nordstrom and the late Bertha Lee Taylor Nordstrom. Mrs. Bradford was a retired seamstress, a member of Lafayette Presbyterian Church of Norfolk for 50 years, and a member of Old Dominion Chapter #100 Order of the Eastern Star. Mrs. Bradford is survived by two daughters, Thelma L. Wilson and her husband, Raymond, of Virginia Beach and Joan W. Blair and her husband, Donald, of Suffolk; a sister, Bertha Lee Burton of Eastville; two brothers, Ernest Taylor Nordstrom, Sr. of Exmore and Robert Larsen Nordstrom of Chesapeake, 8 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 16 great great grandchildren. Mrs. Bradford was predeceased by a grandson, Chris Blair. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, April 19, 2007 at 1:00 PM from the Eastville Baptist Church with the Rev. Waverly C. Smith, III and Mr. Kemmie M. Dize officiating. Interment will follow in the Cape Charles Cemetery, Cape Charles, Va. Family will join friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
