Exmore, VA 23350
Teresa East Gladden, 54, wife of Clark Gladden and a resident of Melfa, VA, passed away Sunday, March 11, 2018, at Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital in Onancock, VA. A native of Cape Charles, VA, she was the daughter of Samuel Pete East of Cape Charles and the late Alice Tucker East. She was a bookkeeper for Rayfield's Pharmacy, member of Painter-Garrison's United Methodist Church, supporter of Relay for Life and member of Eastern Shore of Virginia Emmaus.
In addition to her loving husband, she is survived by two daughters, Michelle Killmon and her husband, Jamie, of Melfa, and Christina Ward of Melfa; three sisters, Mary Anne Wells and her husband, Tee, of Cheriton, VA, Brenda Brown and her husband, Mike, of Cape Canaveral, FL, and Cynthia Hollowell and her husband, John, of Lancaster, VA; four grandchildren, Madison Killmon, Kyler Killmon, Jackson Ward, and Kinley Ward, all of Melfa; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, March 15, 2018, at 1:00 PM at Doughty Funeral Home with Reverends Rob Kelly and Curtis D. Lucy officiating. Interment will be private in Belle Haven Cemetery. Family will join friends at the funeral home Wednesday evening from 7 to 8:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Painter-Garrison's United Methodist Church, P. O. Box 502, Painter, VA 23420 or Relay for Life, PO Box 22478, Oklahoma City, OK 73123.
