Susie Elizabeth (View Video Tribute) Crockett

Susie Elizabeth Crockett, 83, wife of the late Carlton F. Crockett and a resident of Cheriton, passed away Wednesday, January 27, 2010 at Sentara Bayside Hospital in Virginia Beach. She was the daughter of the late John Showard, Sr. and Lottie B. Travis Showard. She is survived by a sister, Frances Parks of Cape Charles, Va.; six grandchildren, Jim Cash of Lynchburg, Va., Sherri Legant of Virginia Beach, Va., Jennifer Ayles and her husband Mark of Roanoke, Va., David Legant and his wife Jennifer of Hawaii, Rebecca Drinkard and her husband Jeff of Appomattox, Va., and Damon Lattimer of Virginia Beach; 11 great grandchildren and several nieces. She was predeceased by two daughters, Kay Cash and Shirley Grenell and four brothers, Grover Showard, John Showard, Jr., Charles Showard and Edward Showard. A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 13, 2010 at 11:00 AM from the Wilkins-Doughty Funeral Home in Cape Charles with the Pastor Joe Moore officiating. Interment will follow in the Cape Charles Cemetery. Following the service, friends may join the family at the home of Ann and Doug Walker, 22601 Parsons Circle, Cape Charles, VA.
