Susan Fosque Long

Susan Fosque Long, 71, wife of the late Robert Thomas "Bob" Long and a resident of Wachapreague, VA, passed away Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital in Nassawadox, VA. A native of Wachapreague, she was the daughter of the late Robert Glenn Fosque and the late Lillian Schmidt Fosque. She was retired from Accomack County Department of Social Services, a member of Powelton Presbyterian Church, Exmore Moose Lodge #683 and B.P.O.E Lodge 1766.

She is survived by four children, Robin Barbour and her husband, Brad, of Virginia Beach, VA, Clare T. Long of Wachapreague, Somers Long and his wife, Charlene, of Willis Wharf, VA, Autumn Melson and her husband, Michael, of Kill Devil Hills, NC; two grandchildren, Robert Mason Barbour and Alise Barbour, both of Virginia Beach and her special dog, Duke.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, July 9, 2016 at 1:00 PM at Powelton Presbyterian Church with Reverend James William Moore officiating. Interment will follow in Wachapreague Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to S.P.C.A. Animal Shelter, P.O. Box 164, Onley, VA 23418.
