Stephen B. Travis

Stephen Burton Travis, 51, passed away Monday January 29, 2007. A lifelong resident of Virginia Beach, he was a member of First Colonial High School's class of 1973, served honorably in the United States Army, and held a career as a Master auto-body technician in the Tidewater area. Steve was preceded in death by his father, Henderson D. Travis Jr., and is survived by his loving mother Martha A. Travis, a brother; Henderson "Hank" D. Travis and his wife Helen, sisters; Margaret Lawrence, Mary Riggs and husband David, Carol Moorman and husband Jack, and nieces and nephews; Michael McNamara and family, Shannon Girdlestone and family, Billy and Tim Riggs and Sarah Moorman. A memorial service will be held Saturday February 3, 2007 at 2:00 pm, at First Presbyterian Church of Virginia Beach, 300 36th Street. A graveside service will be held Friday, February 2, 2007 at 11:00 AM from the Cape Charles Cemetery with the Rev. Ernest L. Gardner, III officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Virginia Beach Volunteer Rescue Squad in Stephen's name.
