Shirley Jester Clayton

Mrs. Shirley Jester Clayton, 70, wife of the late Samuel Gates Clayton Sr. and a resident of Exmore passed away Wednesday, July 12, 2006 at Heritage Hall Health Care in Nassawadox. She was the daughter of the late Mabel Lee Jester. She was a member of Maranatha Baptist Church. She is survived by two sons, Bruce Clayton of Pungoteague,Va., Samuel Gates Clayton Jr. of Belle Haven, Va.; two brothers, Robert Lee Jester of Chincoteague, Va., Joe Jester of Louisiana; a sister, Anna Mae Garrison of Newport, N.C.; 7 Grandchildren and 4 Great Grandchildren. She was predeceased by a brother, James Edward Jester. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, July 15th at 2:00 p.m. from the graveside of Johnsons Church Cemetery with Mr. Kemmie Dize officiating. Family will join friends at the Doughty Funeral Home Saturday afternoon from 12 to 1:30.
