Sharon Wright-Carter
April 24, 1952 — May 18, 2015
Sharon Wright-Carter, 63, wife of Warren A. Carter and a resident of Craddockville, VA, passed away Monday, May 18, 2015 at Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital in Nassawadox, VA. A native of Merrick, NY, she was the daughter of the late William Wright and the late Agnes Mahoney Wright. She was a secretary for Tankard Nurseries in Exmore, VA.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sisters, Ann Steiger and her husband, Lawrence, of Pungoteague, VA, Maryellen Burkholder of Bay Shore, NY; three nieces, Wendy White and her husband, Michael, of Merrick, Kathy Bartow and her husband, Jose Padilla, of Bellmore, NY, Penny Goldberg and her husband, David, of Nashville, TN and numerous great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at 7:00 PM at Doughty Funeral Home with Father J. Michael Breslin officiating. Family will join friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Interment will be Friday, May 22, 2015 at 12:00 PM at Pinelawn Memorial Park, 2030 Wellwood Ave, Farmingingdale, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to S.P.C.A. Animal Shelter, Post Office Box 164, Onley, VA 23418.
