Mrs. Sharon A. Singleton, 58, wife of Dennis R. Singleton,Sr. and a resident of Belle Haven passed away Tuesday, April 8, 2008 at her residence. A native of Long Island, New York, she was the daughter of the late Paul W. Minke and the late Minetta Albro Minke. She was a retired Police Officer for the Metro Washington D.C. Police and worked for the Northampton County Sheriff's Department as a dispatcher. She was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church. Other than her husband, she is survived by five children, Shannon E. Clarke and her husband Michael of Dale City, Va., Lee W. Singleton and his wife Lisa of Woodbridge, Va., Christopher M. Timm and his wife Anne of Long Island, New York, Dennis R. Singleton, Jr. and his wife Jennifer of Woodbridge, Va., Patrick R. Singleton and his wife Tiffany of Seattle, Washington; five grandchildren, Sarah Randolph, Stephanie Clarke, Lilly and Chloe Singleton, and Anna Timm. She was predeceased by a grandson, Ryan Randolph. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, April 12th at 10:00 a.m from the St. Peter's Catholic Church with Father Paschal Kneip officiating. Interment will follow in the Belle Haven Cemetery. A Christian wake service will be conducted Friday evening at 7:00 PM from the Doughty Funeral Home in Exmore with Father Rodrigo Mingollo officiating.
