Sarah Ann Drummond Whitfield

Sarah Ann Drummond Whitfield, 88, wife of James T. Whitfield and a resident of Baltimore, MD, passed away Tuesday, July 24, 2012. A native of Pungoteague, VA, she was the daughter of the late Simpson Drummond and the late Edna Earle Doughty Drummond. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Whitfield is survived by a sister, Katherine D. Wallace of Concord Wharf, VA and a brother, Francis S. "Frank" Drummond of Pungoteague,VA, a sister-in-law, Ida Mae Pridgeon, and several nieces, nephews, and friends. A celebration of Life Service will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, August 4, 2012, at Doughty Funeral Home, Exmore, with the Rev. Robert Smoot officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice.
