Sarah Anne Gorman Walker, 51, wife of William Wade Walker and a resident of Exmore, passed away Wednesday, August 25, 2010, at her residence. She was a native of Tidewater, Virginia and as a school girl her family moved to the Eastern Shore. She was the daughter of the late Col. Kenneth E. Gorman, Sr. and the late Rebecca Riley Gorman. She was a painter, graphic artist, and teacher. She taught art classes at Broadwater Academy. Other than her husband, she is survived by two children, Revel Wade Walker of Willis Wharf, VA, Kenneth William Walker, a student at DePaul University in Chicago, two sisters, Jane Carol Hutchinson of Harborton, VA and Mary Leigh Matthews and her husband Dan of Birmingham, Ala., four brothers, Timothy Riley Gorman, Sr. and wife Ann of Machipongo, VA, Michael Kelly Gorman of Kill Devil Hills, N.C., David Neil Gorman of Charlottesville, N.C., and John Norbert Gorman and wife Patricia of Nassawadox, VA.; and an aunt, Virginia Riley McGann of Greensboro, N.C. She was predeceased by a brother, Kenneth Edward Gorman, Jr., a brother-in-law, J. Michael Hutchinson, and a sister-in-law, Rory Gorman. A graveside service will be held at St. George's Episcopal Church Cemetery on Saturday, August 28, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. Harry W. Crandall officiating.
