Sallie Manuel

Sallie Anne Mason Manuel, 91, wife of the late Bruce A. Manuel and a resident of Onancock, VA, formerly of Exmore, VA, passed away Thursday, December 28, 2023, at Commonwealth Senior Living at the Eastern Shore in Onancock, VA.   A native of Belle Haven, VA she was the daughter of the late William R. Mason and the late Lola Truitt Mason. She was a member of Belle Haven United Methodist Church and was a retired nursing assistant for Dr. Stith at Eastern Shore Physicians and Surgeons.

Sallie is survived by her children, Edwin H. “Chip” Manuel and his wife, Paula, of Salisbury, MD, and Martha Ann Wright and her husband, David, of Chesapeake, VA; five grandchildren, Chris, Lindsay, Jason, Hillary and Tori; and seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, January 3, 2024, at 2:00PM at Doughty Funeral Home with Reverend Jonathan Carpenter officiating.  Interment will follow in Belle Haven Cemetery.  Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.  Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Belle Haven United Methodist Church, Post Office Box 37, Belle Haven, VA 23306.
