Sabra Leigh Omwake DeWitt

Sabra Leigh Omwake DeWitt, 54, and resident of Cape Charles, VA, passed away Saturday, September 24, 2011 at Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital in Nassawadox, VA. A native of Cherrystone, VA, she was the daughter of the late Henri Geiger Omwake, Jr. and Joyce Carpenter Miles and the late Jerry Franklin Miles. She was a graduate of Northampton High School, a radiology technician at Northampton - Accomack Memorial Hospital, and a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her daughter, Amy Jones and her husband Will of Exmore, VA; her sister, Susie Bumann and her husband Fred of Chesapeake, VA; her fiancée, Kenneth Stiles of Cape Charles; two grandchildren, Haleh Green of Exmore, Rylin Jones of Exmore; numerous family members and friends. She was predeceased by a daughter, Rebecca Omwake Bailey.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, September 28, 2011 at 2:00 PM at the Wilkins-Doughty Funeral Home in Cape Charles with Greg West officiating. Interment will follow in the Cape Charles Cemetery. Family will join friends one hour prior to the service.
