Ruth Charnock

Ruth Mae Killmon Charnock, 89, wife of the late Rev. Bill Charnock and a resident of Virginia Beach, VA, passed away Monday, September 12, 2022, at Birchwood Park Rehabilitation and Nursing, Virginia Beach, VA. A native of Willis Wharf, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Killmon and the late Bessie Trader Killmon. She was a member of the Baptist Church.

She is survived by two daughters, Eleanor Anglin and her husband Tom, Tammy Charnock and her husband Glenn Martin; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; three great-great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.  In addition to her husband and parents, Ruth was predeceased by her daughter, Billie Spizzano, two sisters, Madelene Simpson and Louzetta Kellam and two brothers, Quinton and Harvey Killmon.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 20, 2022, at 2:00 PM at Doughty Funeral Home with Pastor Tom Kellam officiating.  Interment will follow in Belle Haven Cemetery.  Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.  Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be sent the charity of one’s choice.
