Roy Lee "Clark" Colonna

March 19, 1927 — March 14, 2009

Roy Lee Colonna, better known as "Clark", 81, born March 19, 1927 and a resident of Onley, Virginia, passed away Saturday, March 14, 2009 at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. A native of Wachapreague, he was the son of the late Arthur Colonna and Florence Beasley Colonna. He was a retired machinist for N.A.S.A. Wallops Flight Facility with 38 years of service and worked for the Computer Sciences Corporation for 12 years. He was a member of Onley United Methodist Church. He is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Marian Sturgis Colonna. He was also cherished by his seven children, Terry Kelley and her husband Gary Sr. of Wachapreague, Va., Betty Taylor and her husband Clifford Jr. of Exmore, Va., Michael Colonna and his fiancee` Terri Marble of Ramrod Key, Fl., Roxy Hallett and her husband John Sr. of Nassawadox, Va., Malia Weekly and her husband Steve of Chesapeake, Va., Donna Pruitt and her husband Mark Sr. or Chesconessex, Va., Flo Bowers and her husband Steve of Melfa, Va.; two brothers, Thomas Colona and his wife Sue, Preston Colona and his wife Carmen, all of Wachapreague, Va.; a sister, Francis Colonna Tomalonis and her husband Vince of Onancock, Va.; 16 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Ernest Colonna of Laurel, De. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 18, 2009 at 2:00 PM at the Doughty Funeral Home in Exmore with the Rev. Charles W. Parks III officiating. Interment will follow in the Wachapreague Cemetery. Family will join friends at the Doughty Funeral Home one hour prior to the service. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Hospice of the Eastern Shore, 165 Market Street, Suite# 3, Onancock, VA 23417.
