Ross-Eric Markham Riggin

Ross-Eric Markham Riggin, 44, a resident of Weirwood, VA, passed away Sunday, October 21, 2012 at Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital in Nassawadox, VA after a lifelong battle with diabetes. A native of Machipongo, VA, he was the son of Gwen Downing Riggin of Machipongo and the late Carlton G. Riggin. Ross was loved by many. In addition to his mother, he is survived by two sisters, Carla R. Shaarda and her husband, Gerard, of Machipongo, Kate R. Ward and her husband, A.C., of Machipongo; a foster sister, Margaret Lane Nadeau and her husband, Jim, of Exmore, VA; a nephew, Bret Doughty; a niece, Marina Bell and her husband, Steve; and a foster daughter, Arian Telari Riggin. A graveside service will be conducted Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at 2:00 pm at Red Bank Cemetery with Pastor Jonathan Carpenter officiating. Family will join friends at Doughty Funeral Home Monday evening from 7:00 to 8:00.
