Robin Scott Lawson Chapman, 45, wife of Jim Chapman and a resident of Painter, Va., died Sunday, June 10, 2007 as the result of an automobile accident. A native of Exmore, Va., she was the daughter of Jeffrey Thomas Scott and Catherine Jones Scott of Exmore. She was a member of Exmore Baptist Church. Other than her parents, she is survived by five daughters, Melanie Diana Lawson and her fiancé, Doug Hintz, of Virginia Beach, Va., Dana Louise Lawson and her fiancé, John Diamond, of Melfa, Va., Jenna Lynn Lawson, Sydney Kay Chapman, and Kara McKinley Chapman, all of Painter, a sister, Lisa S. Davis and her husband, Mark, of Exmore, a brother, Michael T. Scott and his wife, Kathy, of Painter, two grandchildren, Jace Dennis Diamond of Melfa, and Reghan Kathryn Hintz of Virginia Beach, her maternal grandmother, Kathleen Wilson Jones of Exmore, three nephews, Tyler, Brandon, and M.J., and two nieces, Morgan and Taylor. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Floyd Jones, and her paternal grandparents, Thomas E. Scott, Sarah James Scott, and Nancy Walters Julian. Funeral services will be conducted from the graveside of the Belle Haven Cemetery on Wednesday, June 13th at 2:00PM with Rev. Jonathan Carpenter officiating. A viewing for friends will be held Wednesday from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Doughty Funeral Home in Exmore.
