Robert L. Tarr

Robert Lewis Tarr, 83, a resident of Exmore, VA, passed away Thursday, October 8, 2009 at Heritage Hall Healthcare. A native of Girdletree, Maryland, he was the son of the late Alfred Thomas and Jane Tarr. He retired from Sealtest Milk Company. He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Belote Tarr; four children, Larry J. Hicks of Exmore, Deborah H. Colburn and her husband Doug of Exmore, Sandy M. Hicks of Melfa, VA, Patti Ann Kilmon of Mastic, N.Y.; a sister, Anna Mae Ward of Exmore, a special niece, Nancy Dennis and her husband Bill of Salisbury, MD; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, October 11, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at Doughty Funeral Home in Exmore with the Rev. Jack D. Pruitt officiating. Interment will follow at 3:30 p.m. at the Spring Hill Methodist Cemetery in Girdletree.
