Robert Ailsworth Smith, Jr.

Robert Ailsworth Smith, Jr., 77, husband of Patricia Harms Smith and a resident of Exmore, VA, passed away Thursday, February 18, 2016 at Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital in Nassawadox, VA. A native of Painter, VA, he was the son of the late Robert Ailsworth Smith, Sr. and the late Emma D. Phillips Smith. He was a retired United States Coast Guard Chief Boatswain's Mate and then retired from Masten Lumber Company with 20 years of service. Mr. Smith was active in the Fraternal Order of Police and the Exmore Moose Lodge #683.
To honor his request no public service will be conducted. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Wounded Warrior Project, Post Office Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675.
