Robert L. Messenger

Robert L. Messenger, 76, husband of Janet Lloyd Messenger and a resident of Melfa, VA, passed away Monday, April 1, 2019, at Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital in Onancock, VA. A native of Hartford, CT, he was the son of the late Ruben Leon Messenger and the late Ella Heatherington Messenger. He was a United States Navy Veteran, Retired Insurance Auditor, and member of B.P.O.E. Onancock Elks Lodge.

In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by two sons, Timothy Robert Messenger of Hopatcong, NJ, and Aaron Michael Messenger and his wife, Julie, of Hope, NJ.

To honor his request a private service will be held at a later date.
