Robert Joseph McConnell

Robert "Bob" McConnell, 81, husband of the late Eleanor Tompkins McConnell and resident of Exmore, VA, passed away on Tuesday, February 21, 2012 at Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital. He was a native of El Paso, TX and son of the late Francis J. McConnell and the late Elizabeth McManus McConnell. He served his country during the Korean War in the U.S. Army and retired as a manager at Montgomery Ward. He is survived by two children, Dennis James McConnell of Courtland, VA and Donna Jean Myers and her husband, James, of Exmore; six grandchildren, Nathan Robert Yactzak, Sophie Jean James, Serina Ann Whitman, Nolan Ray McDaniel, Robert James McConnell, Barbara Ann Tuggle; nine great- grandchildren, Dalton, Alisa, Tayler, Shaylon, Kyla, Jacob, Damion, Michael and Mason. Mr. McConnell was preceded in death by his step-mother, Jessie McConnell. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, March 6, 2012 at 2 PM in Fort Bliss National Cemetery, El Paso, TX.
