Robert Scott Harris

Robert Scott Harris, 79, husband of Margaret Ann Ward Harris and a resident of Painter, died Wednesday, January 16, 2008 at Shore Memorial Hospital. A native of Oakland Park, he was the son of the late Grover Cleveland Harris and the late Marie Scott Harris. Mr. Harris was retired from Hickman Lumber Company and was a member of the Delmarva Evangelistic Church in Salisbury. Other than his wife, Mr. Harris is survived by a daughter, Reverend Charlene Harris of Kenya, Africa; and a brother, Freddie Harris and his wife, Jean, of Exmore. Mr. Harris was predeceased by two sons, Robert S. "Scotty" Harris, Jr. and Peter John Harris and a brother, William "Billy" Harris. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, January 19th at 2:30pm from the Doughty Funeral Home in Exmore with the Reverend Dr. Ruth Chamberlain and Rev. Mark White officiating. Interment will follow in the Belle Haven Cemetery.
