Robert Lee Eder Sr.

Mr. Robert Lee Eder Sr., 56, husband of Linda Gray Eder of Townsend, Virginia died Tuesday, September 26, 2006 at his residence. A native of Machipongo he was the son of the late Edward Earl Eder, Sr. and the late Nellie Brown Eder. He was a Police Officer for the Cheasapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel Police Department with 25 years of service. He was a member of Johnson's United Methodist Church. Other than his wife he is survived by two sons, Robert L. Eder Jr. and his wife Wendy of Eastville, Va., William Alex Craig of Falls Church, Va.; three brothers, Edward Earl Eder, Jr. of Machipongo, Va., Eugene Francis "Frank" Eder of Capeville, Va., James Stewart Eder of Cheriton, Va.; two sisters, Sandra Faye Marshall and Deborah Eder Marshall both of Machipongo, Va.; four grandchildren, Hannah Grace, Ethan Chase, Savannah Elizabeth, and Ella Claire Eder. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, Sept 29th at 10:30 am from the graveside of Cape Charles Cemetery with the Rev. Randy Lewis officiating. Family will join friends at the Wilkins-Doughty Funeral Home Thursday evening from 7 to 8:30.
