Robert Dunlop

May 11, 1923 — January 7, 2015

Robert F. Dunlop, 91, husband of Margaret Abbott Dunlop and a resident of Belle Haven, VA, passed away Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at Heritage Hall Healthcare in Nassawadox, VA. A native of Babylon, NY, he was the son of the late Robert Curry Dunlop and the late Edith Ruth Hinman Dunlop. He was a United States Coast Guard Veteran, retired engineer for Grumman Aerospace, and member of Central Masonic Lodge #300 AF & AM. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Robert P. Dunlop and his wife, Lynn, of Babylon; two daughters, Laurie Johnson and her husband, Lauren, of Norwich, NY, Dr. Nancy Dunlop and her husband, Stephen Gilhooley of Delmar, NY; a sister, Grace Crawley of Belle Haven; four grandchildren, Brooke, Wade, R. Kyle, Andrew; and two great grandchildren. A celebration of life service with Masonic Rites will be conducted Friday, January 9, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Doughty Funeral Home with Reverend Rob Kelly officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Craddockville United Methodist Church, c/o Mrs. June Custis, P.O. Box 66, Craddockville, VA 23341.
