Robert Chaney

Robert L. Chaney, 78, husband of Michele Coffee Chaney and a resident of Capeville, VA, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, May 12, 2024. He was the son of the late William L. Chaney, Sr. and the late Jacqueline Mitchell Chaney. He was predeceased by his brother William Lee Chaney Jr.

Robert is survived by his loving wife Michele Coffee Chaney; three children, Deborah Chaney Holt, (Greg), Jill Chaney Mauler, (Dennis), and Doc Chaney Jr.; his canine son, along with three grandchildren, Sally Holt, Jackson Holt, and Shelby Montgomery.

Services will be held Thursday, May 30, 2024, at 2:00PM at Clarke Funeral Home in Kenbridge, VA. Family will join friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lower Northampton Baptist Church, c/o Annette Brown, 5425 Tyson’s Circle Cape Charles, VA 23310 or the American Cancer Society, P.O.
