Richard Lee Johnson Sr.

Richard Lee Johnson Sr., 75, a resident of Birdsnest, VA, formerly of Independence, MO, died Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at his residence. Born June 20, 1934, he was the son of Ava and John Wesley Johnson. He retired and moved to Birdsnest four years ago to be near his children. He is survived by his three sons, Richard Johnson of Laurel, DE, John Wesley and his wife Carole Kelley Johnson of Salisbury, MD, and David Johnson of Washington; three sisters, Shirley, Mary, and Patty, all of Missouri, his beloved dogs, and two beloved caregivers who took such good care of him. Our family all across the U. S. will miss him so very much. To honor his request, he will be cremated and his ashes sent to Missouri.
