Richard William Harrison, Jr.

Mr. Richard William Harrison, Jr., better known as Rick, 57, husband of Mable Parker Harrison and a resident of Oyster, passed away Saturday, December 22, 2007 at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. A native of Newport, Rhode Island, he was the son of the late Richard W. Harrison, Sr. and the late Dorothy Engles Harrison. Mr. Harrison was a member of the Full Gospel Church. He was employed at Jack Miles Seafood and was a Northampton County Deputy Sheriff. Other than his wife, he is survived by two children, Christopher "Nick" Harrison of Portsmouth, VA and Tabitha H. Cospel and her husband Carl of Floyd, VA; two brothers, Glen Harrison of Franklin, VA and Mark Harrison of Mears, VA; three sisters, Diane Johnson of Richmond, VA, Karen Rogers of Suffolk, VA, and Deborah Harrison of Mears, VA; two grandchildren, Alexander and Samantha Cospel of Floyd, VA. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, December 26, 2007 at 1:00 pm from the graveside of Cape Charles Cemetery with the Rev. Randy E. Lewis officiating.
