Richard Lee "Jim" Evans

Richard Lee Evans, better known as "Jim", 55, husband of Christine Moore Evans and a resident of Weirwood, passed away Thursday, April 9, 2009 at Shore Memorial Hospital. He was the son of Irma Clark Evans of Weirwood and the late Raleigh Lee Evans. He retired from the Virginia Department of Transportation and was a member of Chesapeake Masonic Lodge #158 AF & AM. Other than his wife, he is survived by an uncle and aunt, Emory and Jean Hurst of Cashville, VA, three cousins, Emory Hurst of Cashville, Andy Hurst of Onley, and Jodi Killmon of Onancock, and numerous close friends. A Celebration of Life service will be conducted Saturday, April 11, 2009, at 2:00 p.m. from the graveside of Johnsons United Methodist Church Cemetery in Johnsontown with the Rev. Jon Woodburn officiating. Memorials may be made to a fire and rescue service of your choice.
