Rev. Lindy Parker Hinman, 81, wife of the late Ernest J. Hinman and a resident of Seaview, Virginia, formerly of Pocomoke City, Maryland, passed away Saturday, December 5, 2009 at her residence in Newport News. A native of Oyster, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late George Parker and the late Aline Marshall Parker. She was a retired licensed minister. She was a member of the Glad Tidings Assemblies of God in Pocomoke City, Maryland. She was owner and operator of her own nursing home and was an author of her personal testimony "Carried Away in the Spirit". She is survived by five children, Alice Faye Williamson and her husband Fred, Mary Jane Geronimo all of Hampton, Va., Pete Hinman and his wife Donna of Cheriton, Va., Katy S. Courser and her husband John of Newport News, Va., Jo Ann Hall and her husband Keven of Pocomoke City, Md.; a brother, Reverend Irving Parker of Sparta, Tenn.; two sisters, Ruby Farthing of Avon Park, Fla., Elsie Moore of Capeville, Va.; 9 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and 1 great great granddaughter. She was predeceased by a daughter, Nancy Brock. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 8, 2009 at 1:00 PM from the Full Gospel Church in Cheriton with the Revs. Randy Lewis, Bob Blevins, and Greg Cox officiating. Interment will be held in the Capeville Masonic Cemetery. Flowers will be accepted.
